I was out last night 7pm until 11 pm. Caught nothing again for the 3rd night in a row. 1 guy beside us caught 2 huge males and a guy across hooked one but it got away. Not having much luck so far

Were you on the lighthouse side of the Pier or on the 'dark side'?

I was out on the dark side last night from about the same times as you.

Some good jumping action last night. One guy caught one and landed it... I heard fish on from somewhere else but saw no fish. Don't get discouraged after not hooking up three times in a row at Bronte its been super slow there with only a few hook ups across an entire night each night. There may have been a couple *better* nights but nothing worth writing home about. I have been on the pier for probably close to 35 hrs now and have caught NOTHING!

Keep at it you'll get one eventually...

The only ones that work are the ones in tomato sauce.

haha jk

In all seriousness sardines are too soft and will fall off your hook as soon as it hits the water.

Got this one today off the kayak. Hit my jointed rapala on the third cast of the day. After a huge fight I just went home. Bring on the steelhead!
