Hey folks!
Hit up the Bronte for the first time today - what a treat! LOTS of salmon running, they swam into me twice! I was using my fly rod and tried everything I had, but couldn't convince one to take. The water was 2-6ft and murky. What are some of your favourite salmon-flies?

Thanks!

Hey, I love to flyfish all the time and a go-to fly for salmon is simple. Single egg patterns . . thats it. Works every year for me. Cheese coloured, blue or salmon.

If the waters murky try using a bigger brighter fly like a 1 inch fluffy purple one that's my favorite combo

Probably because it was started in September before the new forum rules took place. Still should be deleted though
