Yup, I'm pretty sure the water level will be pretty low right now, so not too sure how far they would be able to make it. The rain today will definitely help. Are there salmon runs on the pier/river in Bayfield? I caught a few small mouth bass there over the summer, but it looks very salmon/trout friendly.
Yup...watch the conditions though...it's prime right after a rise in levels and a rain, otherwise it's an aquarium...
Thanks. Was thinking of maybe making a drive out this weekend.

I just went up today from 10 - 2 the water level is extremely low and a little murky no one was having luck so I would recommend waiting until after a big rain but if you are going to go up anyway i would recommend using spoons/ spinners or roe at the pier or use flies or roe/worms just walking upriver from the mouth. I saw 2 salmon or trout but I only caught chubs/shiners and little suckers.think im heading up sunday myself unless i can convince a buddy its worth the trip to the north shore of lake O tribs coming from London Bayfield is much closer...thoughts?
The Salmon have started to come in at Bayfield. I was fishing today, and saw about 5 rise to the surface, and a person with one on the line. I didn't get any, but they are starting to come in.
Nice fish and thanks for the updates!
Were you at the pier? Are you float fishing or throwing spoons and crank baits?
Caught this today in Bayfield. A good 40+ minute fight. I thought it would be much bigger, but it is still much better than being skunked.
