Sunday Morning ...7 am .... cool and breezy , overcast .... fish must be sleeping ... oh , except for the Chub .

Sun hits part of the river at 9 am .... feel it's warmth across your face , takes the chill out . Begin again, drifting the large hole , very quiet ...no surfacing or wakes to speak of .

Put secret weapon on the hook .... running a 4 foot lead off the float , centre of hole ..... and ...... a bump and float is under , set the hook and the water erupts with thrashing head shakes .... the fish are awake !

Three friends , 9 fish landed , 5 fish lost .... all Chinooks . When you see your float bounce and wobble , then get buried like a Steelhead hammered it and up comes an angry Chinook .. almost as good as Steelheading .... but not quite . ;)

Nice and fresh! gotta love the cold water you have there. The lake O trib I fished on Sunday had fresh runs that were in the river for a smaller amount of time then the fish you were catching but nowhere near as silver as your fish. Managed to find a loose one too eh?

Great pics. Fresh roe looks good too. Strange how most of the salmon I've seen are mostly bulls, very few hens.

Thanks for sharing. Can you share your secret bait?.........lol. ;)

Same one as you! And I like it more than the Olympia that I paid twice the price for and returned. Its a very simple camera, my one complaint is that is seems to take longer to think than other cameras and sometimes when you press down the shutter buttom it wont take the picture as it is still trying to process the scenario. For the price you really cant go wrong, cant wait to take some nice underwater shots.

You should take a look at Pautzkes Borax OFire, stuff is amazing, best for scrape. Nice chrome fish btw, gotta make a trip to the Notty soon, get away from these bloody crowds.

Those chinooks look like they're wondering, "What the hell am I doing in Ontario?"

Fantastic report!

Good work. I've just about had my fill of chinnys for this fall, but might give em one more try tonight after work.

Its nice to see the salmon population bounce back on G-Bay. 8-)
