Why do weekends go by so fast? I guess time flies when you're having fun.

Heres a recap of what I got up to this weekend.

Friday afternoon, got off work early decided to check some headwaters on my way home from work and see if there were still some salmon left in the pools. It didn't look good for fishing when I got to the river though. Most of the salmon were on the redds doing there thing making the next generation of salmon, so I took a walk and took a few pictures.

I took a few drifts in one of the deeper pools for the heck of it. No salmon just smolts wanting to commit suicide on my hook so I went home and tied bags for the next morning.

Saturday morning up bright and early. Plans are for a friend to come by for 6 then we do a marathon through some crazy weeds and brush to hit what I'm sure would be some good action. Plans worked out well. Morning started slow but once the sun wit the water around 9 am it was fast and furious. Packed it up by 11:30 for the long walk out.

Sunday I was hoping to hit a different spot but I had heard there were some serious crowds in the areas I wanted to hit on saturday so I decided to go back to saturdays spot with a couple different friends. The morning was a little slower but the average sized fish was a bit bigger. We each got 3 bows and I hit a nice female chinook before we packed it in before noon.

Thanks for the kind words guys.

My camera is actually an old crappy kodak and I'm no photographer. Those pics are some that turned out the best from about 60 pictures taken. I try to take lots usually some turn out OK.

Blair: Soon the water will clear even more the bigger fish will be around and the black furys and flatfish get lots of time in the water...
