Took out some local kids today, as well as my own, for a thanksgiving shore fish.

Water was cold, 46 degrees, and very low. Winds blowing hard from the west, and cold.

We managed a few early pike, all small. Then we hit a decent a smallmouth! Gotta love fall buckets!!!! Had a few smaller ones as well, but this was the biggest for the day.

Hope you all have a great day with your families!!!!

lol, actually, this fish was pretty gorged out. Super fat and lazy, lol. Remember, water temps are in the mid forties. This fish was on the feed for a few days for sure. I thought It was another small pike, till it was 20 ft away and I seen it. I thought, holy s**t, thats a smallie, lol. Barely fought at all, and swam away like a true lazy boy, hahahahah.

2 weeks ago and yeah, would of been a heck of a fight Im sure!

It's good to get kids fishing. This summer I took a kid fishing and the first fish he caught, he almost peed himself and didn"t want to touch the fish. In two hours, he was catching them himself and letting them go. A bass catching machine and loving it!
