I am going to be camping at Pinehurst Lake Conservation Area (between Cambridge and Paris Ontario) this weekend. Looking at the extended season on the Grand River it is a section from 100m downstream of the Highway 2 bridge in Paris, ON to Lake Erie. Not being from around there I am seeking to clarify things a little. I am assuming highway 2 is Dundas St. in Paris. Thus it would be 100m downstream and beyond right? Also without giving away specific spots, are there trout and salmon that far up now? Just want to see if it is worth trying to find a place to wet my line.

Always read the exceptions as well:

-Fish sanctuary - no fishing from Mar. 1 - Fri. before 4th Sat. in Apr.

So from reading this, I would need to head down to Brantford to fish to avoid the sanctuary?
