After gauging the relative success of this outing I see no reason it can't become an annual event--I think we can also get some serious promoters and support on board. This crazy little idea spawned by Float down has already garnered almost $1000.00 in prizes folks...

sounds like that would be a great idea cc and i would try to make that one of my vac weeks to be able to attend.wow you guys seem to have put a bunch of stuff together for this years go round and as you say it looks like it could become an annual thing.

I probably would have never fished teh Saugeen if it wasn't for this gathering and the oprotunity to meet the faces behind the names and learn from you sesoned anglers!. Could be a anual OFF Fishing Derby! It didn't cross my mind before but i have an great uncle in Owen Sound who owns/operates Fletcher Sports. im sure if this becomes anual I could tlk him into sponsoring the event and/or donate some prizes!

Thanks for the shout out CC, hope you guys have a good time, unfortunately I have a funeral to go to, lost my uncle last weekend, he taught me a pile about fishing, and the outdoors. Smash some fish for me gents.

I LOVE that river, a word of advice... Fish are EVERYWHERE in there, dont limit your selves to pools and deep runs, fish the fast water and hold your baits back.

Make sure you take advantage of it all, some of the members going I've met and they are class acts. Don't be afraid to walk up to them, they are more than willing to help out. Oh ya, and take pictures
