i had a blast at the geen on saturday! only 4 hrs of fishing landed 12/17..

first time even getting the steel feel on the geen!!

Nice to see some sizable fish, last year this time of year they were mostly 1-4 lbs

Welcome aboard hawkeye. The "geen" is short for the Saugeen River.

Nice fish, no kidding that first one has a small head, smallest I've seen on a steelhead

Nice going. First one has a blunt head with a small mouth and the last one has a torpedo head with a big mouth.

thanks, i too got a new set up, new R-type rapla 13 foot rod with float reel, my 12 foot was starting to crack that day in the handle!

you had a great 4 hours i think. What a short head on that first fish. I wonder if it's just a different strain of rainbow?

Looks like a croaker to me, which is a domestic strain rainbow which escapes from commercial fish farms around Manitoulin Island.
