Thanks guys, you can imagine how excited I was when I saw the fish. PB Brown and amazing colors to top it off.

 

Andrew your fishing all my drifts man! haha jk. I was surprised at how colored up this one was, they must have started coming up early as everything I hooked was very colored up.

 

 

Knuguy all my fish that day came on 5" pearl white plastic minnows. I tried the typical 3" minnows, roe and pink worms but the only thing I got hits on all day was the big minnow. There must have been a die off of big alewifes as all of the ones the brown coughed up were about the size of my plastic.

I have seen guys using preserved minnows float fishing and just hammering fish. Also the berkleys just as well. U got to mix it up everyone else floating roe and beads.

Oh yah, I wouldnt suggest the size he was using on any other river than the one he was fishing. Smelt run this time if year and the fish in the system go nuts!

New to this forum but I think this one belongs on this thread. Oldie but a goodie, my baby from last winter. If I had the money to get a fish taxi'd this would be the one.

I would almost say you are going against the grain on this river if you use roe.
