i get them quite a bit on the east tribs, they spawn a little later then chines, but surprised to see one this late.

their kinda slushy, not entirely frozen but not a fall stream either it may be decent if it dosent get warm and the rivers manage to flush out the icebergs

hmm, last year i found that when it stayed cold less ice was breaking off, maybe it was just an odd one out ?

That's quite true, but slush ice crystals(aka frazil ice---google it) forms in the water when it's at the freezing pt, then gets washed downstream----it lakes or other still water it agglomerates to form solid ice(check it out on a pond near you!! )

thats pretty cool ! I've tried that instant frozen beer thing I'm pretty sure its the same effect just not as fast
