Sometimes you just have to break the mundaneness and go for a fish. It doesn't matter what species you are targeting or what gear you are using its about getting out and enjoying yourself.
*side note 1 fish hooked but the ross drag sort of sucks in the cold

Dang IR4J........a CLA7??? Fishing for winter tarpon?
I purchased a CLA 3 last june and used it for sockeye, chum, coho and rainbows so far. Pretty decent reel.

Hahahha AK Yeah I happened to get a great deal on it. Manages to balance a 13' spey rod pretty well though! Only problem is the drag doesnt work below -5 c (23f) at least in my experience

Just at work thinking about open water seasons past. I can always go ice fishing but it is NEVER the same as casting out a fly. Here some photos of a couple trips from earlier in 2013.....Will be hitting the river next month with a buddy before he gets deployed. Frozen guides and fingers.....Can't wait.
My kiss
One of the most colored up rainbows I have ever caught
Grayling fishing. Hot sunny days, gin clear spring fed river. Dry fly fishing......
I caught my first grayling on this exact stretch and have caught many here since... I always stop at this spot to fish and remember.
