Keep trying ray u will hook them in abundance one day. My first day of steelheading i got 4, 2 yrs ago

I agree with you that there's still fish. Not sure if the recent rains had anything to do with it but the ones I saw yesterday were shiny and bright. Additional good news is that it seems a lot of fishermen that were out on the opening week have disappeared too

Do you think there will still be dropbacks available next weekend? I was gonna go out this morning but couldn t get a ride

Fish are still chrome in some of my spots, dropping back probably due to the rains soon.

 

I remember last year I got 2 steel early June far up at my river.

there were enough numbers yesterday for me to think there will still be some, even if you cant see them. By 8am the bites significantly slowed down so you need to get there early

we interrupt this thread with a very fresh and beautifull hen that was heavily packed with roe, i was tempted to milk the eggs but then decided to let her finish spawning naturally, the one and only fish for the day besides the dozen smolts i hooked up, shiny chrome for your eyes only!!!! LOL
