Harvesting those morels wasn't easy - this was my first time finding them.  Found them in a grassy area with lots of old dead ferns all over the place.  The name of the game was low and slow... move over an area, turn around and crawl the same path to find the ones I missed the first time.  Had garters and northern ringneck snakes flying out from beneath the grass, bumblebees zipping about and ants nailing my fingers while I crawled on the ground - not to mention blackflies buzzing about - I'm ready to do it all over again next year

I thought there were 4 shrooms in this pic - can only find 3 now

These little browns and bows were stuffing themselves on tan caddis tonight, which made it a fun evening for me!

Thing is there will be 4browns in a pool and one trout or salmon and guess what I'll end up hooking into? Lol. That's ok though just makes the first one that much sweeter when the time comes. :-)
Nice catch majstor one to be really proud of. Now I'm really really envious.

Do browns spawn in the river or in the marinas?

Someone mentioned to me that they spawn in the marinas.

During early salmon runs?

Nice brown pump. Man I'm envious still have not caught one yet.

Thanks Trini.  I wanna catch one on my centerpin.

I think I had one hooked this spring but the thing took me for a walk and the hook popped off before I even got to get a good look at it.

They definitely don't run like the steel and kings do. But you can get them shore line pretty good.
