Much tougher to catch them these days, but feels way greater than the double digit days. Get your heart racing!

Agreed. Less people around as well. Definitely a challenge when you really have to work for them.

Btw the coloured up buck is a beaut!.

AKNook I'm jealous of your surroundings haha. Awesome pictures.

Yesterday I was out and I seen a woman fly fishing with her baby on the front of her with the front pack kinda thing on. Needless to say I'm a little mad my mom didnt start me that young! Pretty funny sight to see none the less.

The surroundings never get old. Sitting on a bank after fishing, body aching, enjoying a beverage with a good friend and taking in the surroundings is one of the best moments of being out there. I picked up the sport in my late teens. My dad wasn't into the outdoors, and my friends weren't either. It's pretty crazy how I even got into fishing but I am glad I did. I'm not forcing my boys to fish I just like having them around when I am out. I have had them on slings too and fished. These boys know more about fishing and fish species than their colors and numbers. They have reeled up fish ice fishing already but I can't wait for them to reel in an open water fish that they have casted out to. It's sure a kick to watch them.

Spent the long Thanksgiving weekend at my father in-law's house in Wasilla and had some pretty cool visitors show up literally at our door........

I was going to take another picture with my boys in the frame but the momma moose walked pretty hastly toward us so I had to rush back in the house with the kids....lol She tolerated us pretty good but showed us not to get too close. About a week earlier another set of moose walked right up onto the porch and ate the two pumpkins that were still there. LOL Gotta love this place.......

I wouldn't believe some of these sunsets are real if I wasn't the one who took the photo.........Been here almost 8 years and still do not get sick of seeing nature's beauty. Winter is when you start see the apenglow on the mountains see intense sunsets.
