Well it's obviously not an epic fish picture....
My buddy and I hiked a couple miles into a spot where we had caught some nice fish the weekend prior. To avoid taking an entire day hiking to it we decided to cross the entire spanse of the river if it allowed us to do so. This section of the river is only a couple miles from one of the lakes that feed it. The lake was just frozen as we go to our spot. We found an area where it was deep but shallow enough with little current to make it across a large spans of river to the other side. No problem going in.
Leaving was another story, Hours later as the sun was in full force I mentioned that the lake is melting for sure and that our way in may be a little deeper. Thats exactly what happened. An inch deeper and the water would have went over the waders. Tip toed the entire way and even floated for a few seconds. It was a spance of about the size of a football field. Never again.
The photo was taken as I assessed the area in the middle of the river on a small sand hill before delving back into the depths on our way out.
The crap we do for a tug......and on top of everything we both got skunked. Haha.
dude i don't even cross freaking duffins creek lol
