Edit: sorry for the mud guys, where i was fishing i had no choice it was a very very steep bank that dropped off right into 2 feet of water and due to a tree I had no chance in taking this fish downstream to land it. Gotta love fishing FAT fish in skinny water haha

Gotta go buy a bottle of champagne to smash over my new rod and reel, absolutely nothing wrong with my old setup but hey... Why not spend some cash on a new pin?!?!
Tis' the season for steel, cold hands, snow, rain, and wind.
Took a buddy of mine to a given pool today, and he still didn't hook up, myself. Well... I did pretty good
At first, I was skeptical about my new rod, 15'6" and nearly twice the weight as my 13', and after losing the first three fish I hooked onto, I was even more sketchy... But...
Fourth fish landed... I was lovin' every foot of it.
6/11 after all was said and done, off the river and having lunch by 12:00, I was really looking forward to staying all day but when your pal is soking wet and freezing cold, ya gotta help him out. Bro's before......... Chrome?
That hen was a lot bigger then she looks, I wish I would of got a better pic, it's tail was as wide as my hand from my fingers to my wrist.
I'm going to end up sending that pic into the MNR, he had some weird things going on, i would love to know if any of you guys have seen anything like that, it was like some of his scales were scarred over and lifted up... It's hard to explain but it looked parasitic or fungal...
But he fought like a pissed off mule, so I assumed he was healthy
