Spring rainbow. You can tell the area where a rainbow was caught by the coloration on it. The rainbows from the Matanuska valley, or "valley for short have a yellow tinge to them. As fish from the kenia pennisula are more chrome. I just love the yellowed up ones.

This one I have to personally thank CJR and NADO for their quick replies to the "Beads, Who woulda thought" thread. I took their advice, tweaked my setup, went out and BAM! This beauty cleared the water, and is my PB for the year so far.

First steel on hardware.

I just wanted to thank those who contribute to these boards as they are very informative. Anyways, tight lines, and I hate to say it, almost get sick saying it but bring on the snow!

Absolutely, thats the plan. Now getting those finicky fish to hit and stay on a small hook is another task!

Ooooooooooo:

I'd love some ciscos from the smoker bro!!!

Yeah, those ciscos were actuallly a little smaller than the ones my friend was hooking into. He had a couple that pushed 20 inches. And hopefully I can break that PB steelie. I know they are around, can see those tanks swimming around. Patience I guess.

Congrats on the PB, nice fish but those ciscos are huge, is that normal for where you fish for them or was it an exceptional day?

He's really good at it now, makes it look legit. The bare hook triple tandem is my favourite, very effective and once he gets the fish rolling into those hooks, it becomes a 100% land ratio.

That's an incredibly dark brown, and likewise a very dark steelie for November.

The brown has a chrome stripe going down the middle, and ultra red spots. Very cool looking fish.
