what he means is what he said--to each his own--fishing, as long as you are within the law, is what you want it to be..i personally think everything should be c and r...but that's not reality--this is a sport of catching fish not killing fish...eating them went out of style once the "grocery store" was conceived

Hit a river with buddies this weekend in pursuit of some wild rainbow trout....We were not dissapointed. A lot of fish caught in truley a wild place. Salmon every where completing their life cycle and bear sign everywhere. We made sure not to run across any with all the yelling and loud talking we did as we hiked. Poo, tracks and half eaten salmon carcasses all over the place. Nothing like hiking to fish another spot and backtracking a half hour later only to see tracks where you just fished. Enjoy the pics!
Wild rainbow that hit an articulated flesh fly
Love the color on this one
A lot of this laying around......
And this.....

Haha....that's what I thought.... There were other piles that were almost all berries but they weren't digested. Looked so fresh like someone srpinkled them on it. They must be VERY regular that it gives no time to digest. lol

wooow glad the salmon escaped, i think on all rivers during salmon season should have a 1 hook with barb or treble barbless as the requirements

Seen one of these on an Eastern trib last year, pulled it out of the side of a chinny - not a coho but still equally as disgusting. I hate confronting them face to face because of a steelhead incident last year where 3 guys were poaching I threatened to call the MNR, and got my nose broke.... did I learn my lesson, nope... I hate confronting them but still do it Good news is the 3 loogans I dealt with all faced poaching and fishing without a license charges as well a the nose breaker being found guilty of criminal charge of assault. Guess my theory (dumb as it may be) is we have to do whatever we can to protect our resources..
