Hola amigos, so last monday was the first time that decided to go fishing by myself, woke up early, told my wife that i was going to be back at noon, kiss my baby boy that was asleep. grab my fishing equipment ans a big coffe.. drove 10 minutes (mississauga area), no to far from my house, very nice morning, sun was coming up, (Im new at fishing with waders and all this kind of fishing for trout and salmon),put my waders and i was ready to try fishing, I had all artificial bait, started with garlic marshmellows, no luck, then change to a small spoon with red fluffy feathers.., and it was my first trout, (i think...), good fight, I was so excited, wanted to make a video, take pictures (so I had proof of my fish! that was my first and only fish that morning, but it made my day.. slowly im getting in to all this new style of fishing and Im loving it!
this is my first post with pictures, I hope you can see them, Im at work and posting it! haha!
have a good weekend to you all!

Nice fish, from what I've read not many people fish that area. The water looks calm.

Hey Sebastian. I recognize the place you were fishing, I have fished there for years. You are right, it doesn't get much pressure. But there are no Trout there ;) don't know what you had on your line but it wasn't a 'bow B). Shhhhhh.

I know that place from the picture...no "trout" must be a "big fighting goby"...but please throw it back. you're better off with spinners or spoons than mallows. had the same success but the drive from where i am is $@*#!

Hey Sebastian, nice fishing time in a not so common place and bad weather...... perseverance really pays back, eh?
In the 2nd and 3rd pic looks like a rainbow, but in the 1st and last pic looks like a sucker to me.
By the way, it's nice you had the "skills" to take the pic in action...kudos for that man!

x2 !! Dude edit this post that spots gonna be raiped!! Read the forum rules before posting nice fish and all but that might be the only one you catch this year if you post specific locations and pictures clearly showing which section of the GTA's most POPULAR RIVER is holding the GTA'S most POPULAR FISH

Hey Sebastian. Live and learn. I was reprimanded on one of my very first posts here for naming the exact spot you did. One of the mods edited my post.
I thought I was helping a fellow angler. I didn't think about how many would have access to my post. I understand now. PMs are the way to go if you want to help someone out. Actually the guy I was trying to help ended up getting the location from me in a PM and he gave me a great spot to fish on the Grand that he knew about in a return PM. I think once the water clears up a bit, you will get your second and third Trout there and more. It's a good spot. And happily doesn't get a lot of pressure. Next time you are there, if you see another angler feel free to ask if I am Alfie :) I usually have a blue knapsack.

Alfie.
