I agree with everything FTR says. But I also think Blair should be allowed back if he can clean up his nonsense and realize it's wrong to threaten people, poach, make up fishing stories etc etc...

Right, i'm just worried blair WON'T come back because he might just forget about posting on this forum, or any forum.

This thread has served its purpose. It's ironic that a thread about guys getting banned for inflammatory remarks has 'inflammatory remarks'.

So are you saying ChaseChrome and other great members of this site are not a good members just cause they've been banned from other forums? Please elaborate for me. Thanks.

Do we really care about what happens on other forums? I came to this forum because it's probably the best forum around, great experienced guys and very active. I don't think that anybody is actually saying that anybody is a bad person but forums have rules, no matter what the rules are if you don't abide by them you will get thrown out. I don't know why CC or anybody else was banned from other forums but clearly some kind of static was caused and the moderators or members of the forum didn't like it, nobody is saying that they were right or wrong in banning them, they just have different rules. Some forums are like a cult lol, they're a bunch of like minded people that don't necessarily like the truth or candid opinions which i'm sure CC was not shy in sharing. So I think FTR is saying that he knows first hand how Blair can be and he's not surprised that Blair has been banned from this and other forums. NONE OF THIS WAS WRITTEN WITH ANY MALICE. my 2 cents

I wasn't aware when/where/why ChaseCrhome was banned and it's not my business.

As tough as it is for you to believe, I'm just saying the truth, along with what other people have said. When Blair was caught yanking steelies in closed trout waters, some of us called him out on it and the Blair supporters were in disbelief and didn't want to accept it giving him the benefit of the doubt. Even after he posted his apology of what he did, the same Blair supporters were still in denial that what he was doing was ethically wrong.

Even now, you have seen first hand of how much of a looney bin this guy is making threats and going off like a rabbid animal and there are people who still vouch for him. Seriously? lol

It isn't the first time or second time or even a third time, it's a re-occurring event.

My own conclusion: Blair doesn't belong here, he belongs in CAMH.

I've never seen a topic or post showing any facts that Blair fished for trout in closed water. I might believe you if I saw the thread, but my bet is that it got deleted by a mod or admin...

Perhaps, myself and other "Blair Supporters" liked Blair, because he was:
Helpful - always answered any questions any noob had, and if he didn't know the answer, he figured it out and posted them
Positive - Even if you got skunked, he could point one good thing out about the outing
Posted - Since, I joined I believe he has posted the most reports on this site, something everyone enjoyed
Selfless - Did things to help the fishing community such as garbage pick up and kids fishing day

I feel like Blair and a small hand full of guys have actually helped me and given me tips, on the types water that will hold fish, when to use certain baits or lures, etc, then the majority of the members, who want to keep their mouth closed cause they are scared of any angler who is beginning. Unlike most members, Blair posted in nearly every sub - forum, from the Salmon and Steelhead Section, to the Fly Fishing Section, to the General fishing section and the Fishing Gear section.

I understand that the mods, and admins job is to keep the peace, and I personally think they do a great job. But lets be real, Blair didn't get mad for no reason...

As well, a lot of people here complain about the essays or videos he posted, let me remind you, you do not need to read or watch them! Why can't you just scroll past it and ignore it, if it bothers you so much?

I'm, with Catfish on being worried that Blair won't come back, cause truthfully, I don't think the members on this site has been too appreciative of the work he did to improve it prier to his ban.

Earlier this year a great member (Tangledline), left because of the lack of support of the Urban Fishing Fight and the lack of "mentorship" between members and I hope Blair does not do the same.

Sure I've seen him get angry, but I've seen him be a nice, funny, thoughtful guy way more often, and I hope the other members of this site did too.

As a member of the toronto shore fishing thingy he was in he advocated some poor habits imo. the stripping of trout is one, which i see as legal but unethical ( and i will strip a chinny no problem. not alot of browns to go around). and a lot of mentions of the bob marley codeword ( which i have been know to partake in once in a blue moon). for a somewhat self proclaimed ambassador to gta shore fishing (with kids) i dont think are the right things to be teaching kids/newcomers to the sport. if you dont what like i have to say feel free to pm me, these are just my opinions. im preety good at agreeing to disagree without ending in threats

I missed some excitement and haven't been on the board that long, I suppose. All said, I never had an issue with Blair but again I have been away for a while.

For the folks who don't want Blair back, no worries. You might get your wish. If I was Blair and read this thread I would question why I would want to come back.

negative - posts articles he doesn't even read himself
negative - is incredibly paranoid
negative - lies a lot (this includes lying about the threats he's made, fishing stories etc.)
positive - eventually said he was sorry after he was busted for poaching at Duffin's

I was not around to see the threats he made towards you and like I said, I don't think he would just threaten you for no-reason. How do you know he didn't read them?? I don't remember seeing any proof that he lied or that he poached, but it you can come up with some, I gladly accept it. Cheers.

I don't need proof from anyone to accept they have their own opinion. Not having all the facts, perhaps I don't really have an opinion myself.

Considering the great work of our moderators and community to keep this great site working and civil (THANKS), I'd find it encouraging if the dead horse beating stopped.
