Steelies are available in huge numbers, fight like crazy and look incredible especially in the fall, so they are definitely among my favourites.
Well, it seems steelhead is most popular on here. Not surprising based on location, I'd be fishing 'em too if they were up this way. I Can't say I've ever caught one, but I've hooked a few big rainbows in lake ontario. I voted Walleye, b/c I like a challenging catch and I'm hungry but I love bass fishing and big pike too!
I do like your point about walleye though, they are elusive and always elicit some excitement from me when I catch them. I love their colours, green, white and golden. They don't fight much but are always a treat to catch, and would definitely be among my top choices. Now if only they tasted awful, there would be more of them swimming around and they would be easier to catch!
