I heard back in the day the natives used to use squirrels as bait to catch muskies. Does this still work and how do you catch squirrels? haha

Lol thats halarious! Not sure what the ministry would think. However I'm pretty sure their is a squirrel hunting season. Whether you eat them or use them for bait would be up to you lol.

Check the regs. If the regs don't object then I'm sure Bullwinkle will. :D

Unfortunately you are not the first I heard this from. The first is actually a buddy who said he saw a guy get fish after fish but would hide his bait (baby kittens). A DICK like this would really make all respectable anglers look so bad. Not to mention how absolutely cruel it is.

If he really did that he deserves to be hung. Its one thing to joke about it, but a completely different thing to actually do it. Its best to stick to artifical lures when fishing for muskie.

Friend was telling me he knew a guy in the US that used kittens. Pretty horrific, not to say a squirrel would be much better. Can't imagine putting a hook through a mammal like that.

Yeah hang him by his balls. Even using some live bait is hard for me, like worms, crawfish and minnows. I wouldn't mind bugs but I don't like handling them at all, they work the best. Crickets and grasshoppers they are deadly.

One night, I went to my local pond with a butterfly net and just walked dragging the net through the grass, I had so many crickets. Man, do they ever work great.

No worries glad I can give back. Maybe you could get some suicide crickets to stab themselves?
