Are there fish out there we havent caught yet. Now it has to be freshwater fish. Mine would be a gar pike. I would love to have my picture taken with one of them and add it to my photo album. About ten years ago I was exploring with my rod and reel along the shore around Honey Harbour. I walked out of the bush to make a cast and saw two gar pike over 30 inches cruising threw the lilly pads. I got so excited that when I tried to cast my line it got wrapped around the tip of my rod so I couldnt even get a cast out. The only people I have heard of catching them they tell me they come out of nowhere. It is the coolest looking fish.

I'd put gar (pike) on that list too. I know a few guys that are very successfull catching 40-50" gar, and I'm dying to get one, they are pre-historic looking! If you're sticking to fresh water, the only other one I'm really chasing would be a musky.

I caught an 18+" Atlantic Salmon on a fly at the Forks - she did take me downstream a bit. As for something I haven't caught, spring Lakers are supposed to be fun.

I lived in Ottawa for a few years. The Ottawa River holds a LOT of Fish!! I fished mostly Bass and Pike. There is also a lot of Muskies in there, down around Montebello.

I caught a fair amount of Gar while going for Pike. I don't particularly care for them.

In any event this a Pic of one caught on the Ottawa River.

No. It's not me.

If that's truly your list, you must have a really nice boots collection . My list includes muskies, sturgeons and most river residents.

Well, I'm glad I come off as an expert, but really that's my list... I know a lot about how to catch different species, I just don't get to water that holds them that often...

How did the gar fight? Did you catch them on lures? Cheers.

I was kidding around. Have you ever seen cartoons depicting the fisherman only hauling in old boots? That's what I meant. I guess not everyone is as immature as I am to watch cartoons to get the joke. 
