I caught a fair amount of Gar while going for Pike. I don't particularly care for them.
In any event this a Pic of one caught on the Ottawa River.
No. It's not me.

If that's truly your list, you must have a really nice boots collection . My list includes muskies, sturgeons and most river residents.

Well, I'm glad I come off as an expert, but really that's my list... I know a lot about how to catch different species, I just don't get to water that holds them that often...

Not quite sure what you mean by boot collection, I only have 2 pairs, Rain-boots and Hiking Boots...

I lived in Ottawa for a few years. The Ottawa River holds a LOT of Fish!! I fished mostly Bass and Pike. There is also a lot of Muskies in there, down around Montebello.
I caught a fair amount of Gar while going for Pike. I don't particularly care for them.

How did the gar fight? Did you catch them on lures? Cheers.

I was kidding around. Have you ever seen cartoons depicting the fisherman only hauling in old boots? That's what I meant. I guess not everyone is as immature as I am to watch cartoons to get the joke.
