Was out today in some creeks I have not been to since I was a teen. Going back 20 years. Asked my uncle to take me to some areas where my father took me as a kid. After explaining the scenery etc he knew right where to go. Brought back alot of memories of fishing with my father so it was a great day.

Unsure of the regulations on one spot all we did was walk the creek and have a look. On the way back we spotted 2 huge browns sitting side by side by some logs. We stood and watched for a bit and noticed at least 10 more swim upstream. Did not even try to toss a line near them as we didn't check the regulations for this creek. It was a spot he said my dad used to take him to for some browns.

Stopping at another where we knew the regulations I tossed a bead down and drifted beside a fallen tree in the water. First drift had a hit but missed it. 2nd drift another hit and missed settting the hook. 3rd drift and it was game on!. Got this little guy. Snapped a pick and quickly released him back into the water.

Went and did some exploring on the creek. wet the line a few more times spotted lots of small trout!. Only had the one hookup but I didnt go to fish today was more about the exploring and revisiting places my dad used to take me and reliving some of those memories of him. Now i know where these places are and I can continue to go back and take my kids and tell them stories and make some of our own memories.

Thanks for reading sorry for the misleading title bu i saw some nice browns!
