nope to which part? i see videos of panfish smashing dry flies...

First, yes Panfish will smash flies, dry, wet and popping bugs too. It's a lot of fun on a light rod.
As for resident Trout, that is more complicated. They are here. Most anglers who know good spots are very tight lipped, as am I. They are not around in the numbers they were 30 years ago, and everything is becoming private property where there are some. A lot of streams that still hold residents can only be fished from the road allowance unless you get in good with a land-owner :) Any open waters are heavily fished. There are some areas which are good and have special regs, like single barbless hooks and no live bait. They eliminate a lot of pressure because some have no idea how to fish this way. Flies work :)
I'm gonna send you a PM.

Alfie.

i know of a certain river that has resident browns, and steels and salmon can't reach the area due to it being dammed off, only downside is you need to be a member of the local fishing club to be able to fish it

last summer way up in a tiny creek here where I am from. was catchin minnows, and saw a MONSTER res bow lurking around. Almost poop myself and fell right into the river at the same time. It used to run nooks and steel until a barrier was placed about 10 years ago.
