Holy CARP! Do they fight as good in cold water?

They do slow down as the water gets colder. This one did not fight very hard but that created a challenge try to net it. It still had plenty of energy left and would power away every time I got it close to the net. A fellow carper came over and gave me a hand with the net.Holy CARP! Do they fight as good in cold water?
My personal experience is that male carp weighing just below 20 lbs caught around the time that they spawn can really give you a go. Also when you have nice deep water at around 20 to 25 deg. C , with a good O2 level you will find that carp fight very hard and do not want to quit.
