Too weird, I just came home bummed out about losing my favorite Oakley's I've had for years which I never wear at the river for that very reason and there's a post about glasses.

They are also in my price range, you think an Amber or Bronze lense is the way to go?

Amber and mossback are what I've tried they worked great. With a slight knod to the amber just cause it it filters out a lot of the dark colours better and gives you more definition between types of structure, weeds, mud or rock. The moss back on the other hand performed better in low light conditions. Or the ski goggles are a good option no ones gunna f*ck around with the guy wearing ski goggles on the river lol

i've got a pair of xtreme blue, they're an amber coloured lense, and can pick out detail very well for an inexpensive pair of shades, think they were $20 when i got em 2 years ago

Lol you may have a point! But I like the Amber lense seems like they would be good for exactly what you said, it will define structure more. We all know fish love to hide!

do they make a polarized lens that is completely clear? This would be good for the last hour or two before dark.

I had them on my ball cap which I never do,must've hooked them on a branch or they fell in, had them 10 years or more. Well worth the money, virtually indestructable, lightest most comfortable glasses ever, I've sat on them, been hit with a small rock thrown up by a car while cycling, barely a scratch on them in all those years. I'll try retracing my steps tomorrow.

my personal opinion about fishing glasses would be, to go for the best you can afford. Just like another member had mentioned. Once you try a pair of high end glasses you wont go back. Currently i use a pair of Oakley HDO ( High definition optic) polarized glasses. By no means are these the best of the best, but they are what i can afford. I am so impressed and happy with the clarity and sharpness of the lenses. I also trust there claims in eye protection. I often question the 10 dollar polarized gas station glasses. Just take could care of them and they will last you a life time if you dont loose them. i was using monster dawg Oakley polarized lenses for 12 years until i scratched them so badly i couldn't use them any more. now i have a set of fuel cells with black iridium lenses and have replaced my monster dawg lenses with polarized yellow lenses. Now i am covered for both sunny and cloudy days.. any hoots , just my two cents...
Hope you find the pair that is just right for you
best regards
