Fish everywhere, but no biters, tried different colours with roe, worm and fly, up high down low, middle, and everywhere in between, about the only thing that woulda worked is a stick of dynamite!

water is extremely low and clear they aren't going to be to eager to hit. Something to keep in mind is if you can see them they can see you, try to only fish holes where you cant see bottom under conditions like this and you will find less spooky fish. good luck!

+1 find deeper spots. right now when water is low and clear your best bet is very early in the morning or come back for the evening bite and try again. past few weeks id only fish first 3 hours in the morning and go home. need rain and we need it bad.

these were some deeper pools, about 7-10ft deep, i just think they've hit too hard since there's usually 10-30 people down there every weekend

U can get em if they have not been harrassed, hooked = been there for a while.
Fresh from lake = better chance always!!!

yea these ones have been there about a month, all dark backs, and probably get targeted daily, going to head further north to some more secluded hard to get to holes

I can't relate to pools being fished by many anglers, but actually try to sneak up - fish from your knees, take a 2 minute drift to avoid going near a hole..

I tried to get a pic of a pool just loaded (20+) with steelies just swaying in the current, but couldn't even literally crawl near the bank to snap a photo. They started boiling when I was 10' away from the pool.

Not sure what creek you're fishing but try to fish log-jams & heavy cover. Take a float off if you need to and drift right into the cover. They can't see you if all they see is wood.

I'm speaking from my personal experience here, others may disagree, but if I can actually see a fish holding in gin water to try to target, I have never caught it.

faster water is good too where they have less reaction time
