Currently I got myself some cac Dacron and Sufix promix for around 25$? It's pretty good but I have yet to try it out on the water but alot of people are recommending it.

100yrd Darcon
400 yard promix - spooled on aroud 220yards

CJR, I hard the Cx is better than the Cxx; not as stiff. I am still using Ande in an 8lb and it seems to do the job.

loosen up there mr tight, imperial is only the beginning of the journey. There's lots of reels beyond that...R2, RSG, Canada Fishing Reels, Rivers edge reels, Demarco. The list goes on but Imperials sure do get alot of promotion on this forum.

i heard great things about suffix pro mix, but even rapala is out of it. good luck getting your hands on it. personally 13 years of river fishing i've always used raven, usually 8. long story short, because of shot line i moved to raven 12lb. the other day tried to grab my float out of a tree and half the tree broke. i fished with it right after and landed a decent fish with no problems. only problem with 12 is, if it gets caught in your cp it might snap it if the space is too narrow. happens with my stanton from 2001. i am about to try some promix though, i will keep you updated.
