I would say a week later than that at least. ItHas been rare that this area has been safe on the 12 in recent years. Reschedules mess up turnout. Like the steel outing

im not paying for parking at IBP, all we will get there is dinky perch maybe some jumbos, but i doubt it that late into the season, and there is almost no chance for whities id rather go north for whities where they actually bite, at IBP its one whitie per day, not my style, id go to cooks for pike, vb for jumbos, but not IBP, those who have never fished it you're in for something, lol.

The best plan in mid jan at inisfil beach park. Perch or lakers/ whities. Easy parking or.driving on the lake, and close to Toronto. Id be down for.something like this. Im not driving 3h Each wayd to fish.for.dink brookies

i don't go for dinky brookies i go to bancroft and get them at about 17-20 inches but FAT, anyways i wasn't talking about specks, i was talking about whities lakers up north about 3 hours from toronto, they bite well there but i wouldn't want a big group overfishing it.

guys are saying couch has good ice right now, maybe couch would be a better spot especially at the time you guys are thinking, thats well into the season so the jumbos/crappies/pike should be around to make it interesting.

lol redneck, i only see 10 jumbos in there, to me a jumbo is 10-11 and up, I'm just saying that you have almost no chances of getting a whitie at that time of year and the perch are definently bigger on couch then you have win the pic, you have a few nice ones but quite a few sinks as well couch usually produces 12-14" fish, i get that no-ones forcing me, its just that there are a lot of newbies out there who don't know what its like and think they will bite non-stop there are many other spots where you don't have to pay for parking, closer to walk, yes theres no whities in vb or couch but the jumbos are bigger and more of them, at least for me and I've fished the lake for quite some time, anyways I'm not forcing anyone to switch anything, I'm just saying if its IBP id rather go north for whities and lakers or crappies, if this ends up happening than have fun guys!

amen, cant stress enough this gtg isnt about quality/quantity of fish. Just trying to get to gether to meet fellow OFFers. And show some people who may not have tried ice fishing before how much fun it is. Not everyone will be able to show up and hit lake trout or whitefish there first time ice fishing.

im not against going for perch but why pay for parking, when i can use that money for minnows or coffee, etc.? for first timers cooks bay is good, if you guys really want to show how much fun it is to newbies and don't care about fish, than cooks or vb is the way to go, but it seems like you guys are set on jumbos and whities and paying for parking that is further away from the lake then free parking lol.

I didnt say it is the best spot for fishing, but Is a convenient place for a gtg. Pretty easy place to get a few. Plus easy parking. I know its pay, but Parking can be an issue around the lake. Plus If the ice is good just park on the lake!

There can be more than one gtg with different numbers. I am down for a Dec. one ass well as one in mid Jan. If you cannot make it then why trying to cancel it? And if a few weeks is not enough for planning then!! Justvdree warm, get your gear, some food, and follow someone who knows the area. I'd say propose a date in Dec and whoever who wants to join can do so. In fact a smaller number will allow to drive furthur up north and maybe try some of those back lakes.

Last year the exact same thing happend. Trying to get everyone to agree on a date and lake and it never took place

How much can parking possibly cost? Probably a small price to pay to meet some nice people
