crappie would be too hard for the whole group not everyone would catch fish, probably jumbos and pike, because you can't really take a big group of people to a back lake for specks lakers and whities.

I've suggested the 12 of January on simcoe in a private message but no one wanted too. I figured it was far enough away to properly organize this and we'll definitely have good safe ice. Perch is idiot proof so everyone will catch. Alot of guys are baggin on Kemp be ling frozen but I highly doubt it. Atleast noy safe enough to make everyone comfortable, its also what we did last year.

12th is too far away, ice is already good in a lot of places within a 2 hour drive of the GTA and there aren't a tonne of people out yet.

Then it is easy, just set a date and ask those who can join for a PM to know the location, time, etc. Otherwise like last year this outing is not going to happen.

there are lakes frozen but i wouldn't want a group of people to come to back lakes, after we leave there will be no fish left and they will be very pressured, january 12th is a sunday, if a lot of people want it to be sunday I'm fine but saturday is better, because i can stay until the night, i think 28th or 29th of decemeber will be perfect january 12th is too far away to say anything and there will be other lakes frozen that have good fish, or the weekend of the 21st it should be good too first ice is best, especially for guys with hand drill it will be easy to drill and the jumbos will be on fire!

if its the 28/29 i'll be up north so if its somewhere up there I might be able to make it. ^ You do have a point though, I don't know about bringing a big group to a back lake. 21st should be good for for me and at that point i'll still be up for whatever. Once the big water freezes its pretty difficult to talk me into going for anything other than Lakers lol.

I'll be Fishing lakers aswell if its ready by the 12th. Youll never get a good turnout by the 28th weekend most people already have plans and its only 3 days after Christmas. Let alone its only 3 weeks away and a GTG to be properly organized will take longer. I'll fish that weekend with a group of guys. But thats all itll be, not a gtg by anymeans.

how is it too far away. Things like this take organization instead of rushing it and having a bad turnout cause everyone scrambles to make time. Of course so many other places will be ready but its not about that. Its GTG for guys /gals to come to a central meeting spot and meet new people, drink rootbeer and have some laughs. We just happen to be fishing while were at it, whether it be perch or whatever.
