We should at least get a date picked here.

I am in for sure if the meet up is going to be on some laker grounds and if I know far enough in advance. I'll be in the Haliburton area tomorrow chasing lakers.... :)

January 20th was going to be the date, but with 10-20mm of rain in the forecast for tomorrow and spring like weather, I really want to wait for some colder temperatures and better ice conditions.

Looks like it's supposed to cool down by end of next week - if we get persistent cold weather for a week or two and some ultra cold ice-building temps - we can go ahead.

Sunday, February 3rd, would be the next possible date depending on how the weather goes.

Keep the faith buddy. Muskoka is going in the deep freeze for the next two weeks. I watched a lone fisherman on Rosseau yesterday about 200 yds off shore. You wouldn't get me out there, but he looked to be having some luck........ I think the 27th is still possible....

more than possible lol they had anywhere from 6-10 inches of black ice in hali as of thursday i dont see this warm up melting 10 inches. and as already stated the north is going into deep freeze, the 17th would be possible let alone the 27th unless you guys are planning on driving out, would be nice but your not getting me to haul my 3/4 ton gmc on the ice!! hahaha

yep theres ice out there its just soft, a few cold nights will tighten it back up and we'll be back out there hammering fish in no time!! Cant listen to everything you hear when it comes to ice, last week guys were saying simcoe was wide open and to bring a boat yet i was fishin on 6-8 inches of black ice! lol some people havent hit the ice at all have no idea whats actually going on but they see the temps go above zero and assume its all open water again lol

exactly i dont get it alot of nay sayers . if this outing is going to happen we need an exact date, the warm spell is already almost over and most hali lakes still have tons of ice so lets get this going so guys can start planning!! And if the G2G doesnt happen on the 26th or 27th pm me i will be in the area hammering trout regardless

you got it, i think i got jury duty on the 24th so come the weekend i need to get 2 days of fishing in!

even though it has been really hot, give it a few days and most ice that was good before will be fishable again, especially the more north you go. im hoping most ice will be good to go again before the weekend and by weekend i mean Thursday because i need a fix, lol.
