Hired a guide last weekend, and finally got into some steel. Went 2 for 3, and had a blast.

HA! i was hooked long ago! At age 4, if i recall correctly, with my first trout hooked me on a path to many many wasted days in summer and fly tieing in winter. Steelheading seems to fill a void in the seasons that cant be filled by residential browns or by bass. now my wife will never see me...

what wt rod is that and what fly did you use if i may ask...congrats btw on the fly must have been epic/.

Hey Schnip, rod was a 7 wt, 10ft. fly was not a standard pattern, but was a small (maybe size 10) bead head nymph with a copper rib.
