Rod-Okuma 10'6 SST
Line-8lbs Nanofil/6lbs Maxima Floro
Float-11g Raven fixed
Bait-White/Grey blood hook jig head tipped with Berkley Gulp Alive smelt pattern
Location- Niagra
Depth under float 11 feet
So tried two new things today my new reel and nanofil. Love the reel, need more time with the nanofil. Was a cold one out there, made for some cold fingers and frozen rod guides
All in all great day with Redneckchromer and friends

The rods great man, I like a bit more backbone in my rods. Makes it so I can still chuck hardware with it.just got the same rod as you as a present. how's the rod handling that fish? nice fish man. nice background too.

So far so good, casting distance is crazy far when I was chuckin spoons. And went the whole day without a single line twist. Every snag broke off at the leader, saving my setup. It was made for spinning reels. I was running it throught iced up guides all day and it never fraid or anything. It is kinda pricey at 18$ for 150yrds, but I never cheap out when it comes to my line.Great! Hows the nanofil?

How has niagra been? Looks like it has been good to me. It's not frozen yet is it? I went out to a few tribs around the GTA and everything is pretty frozen already. This is crazy early from what I can recall from the last couple years

Niagra has been alright. I don't think Niagra freezes completely over, not where we fish amyways.
