Maybe so, but what is your view if someone asks you for your spot in a pm and offers to tell you one of his spots?Posting small spots publicly and online can do more bad than good. While it may help newbies, it can ruin it for the others. It is far more ethical not to post certain spots publicly. Basically, let all the anonymous newbies put in their own hard work and gain some true experience and maybe even some respect for the fishery.

I don't see anything wrong with that. In fact, that's probably a good alternative.
That is kinda like the old "report" rule where you would have to create a report to view a report. Hopefully the reports section will be brought back when the update happens.

-"Core group": I don't know about you, but most of the guys from several months ago are still here and posting. The lack of fishing opportunities can leave steelheaders pretty rabid. Poor Schnip was getting eaten alive just a while ago. I doubt it would have happened during the salmon runs. Posting small spots publicly and online can do more bad than good. I can think of 8 guys who might be here but don't post squat anymore. It was these eight guys who helped make this forum so great.( although not just them) Things have gotten way out of hand

I think it's change by an increase of fighting but really only Blair, Dugger and maybe one or two others have gone.

i believe the experienced anglers have stopped posting so much is because of threads like these which turn into heated arguments over nothing, its a major turnoff to anyone reading the posts on this site

I totally agree with you two guys and that is why I posted what I did, not to "piss" any one off, but to ask for peace. Hope that got across in my message. I think this thread has remained pretty respectable, despite the wide variety of opinions. Any other opinions are more then welcome to be heard by me as long as they are respectful to all members here on this site.

I know what you mean. This all started because people did not like FishHawk's post trying to give you information about fishing in Orilla...Well post constantly being hijacked and turned into a pissing contest is starting to get old.
