hope to jig up some nice lakers on the boat since my ice fishing gear is just gathering dust this is a pick of my biggest laker last year 13.7

Nice Laker
For some reasons the lakers and whities are perfect in the smoker. Over 2 months in the icy lake water make the flesh firm up and flaky. That is my experience. What about yours?

i dont eat to much fish almost only c and r but ya they do taste good in the winter the only reason i kept that one was i only had a 4 inch hole and he was to big for it and got damaged comeing out would of loved to let him go it was a very nice fish
