i knows its ONTARIO fishing forums but im taking a trip to north vancover to visit the gf and will be there for 2 weeks. i figure i may as well bring the rod and try to get into some fish. only one problem, i have no idea what to expect. i know there are a couple rivers that are very close to her, capilano river being just down the street. but i have a lot of questions that im hoping everyone with any knowledge could help out.
what type of fish are in the rivers at this time of year? steel for sure, but anything else? im assuming the salmon run is over, maybe some cutthroats....am i missing anything?
what should i bring? obviously my rod, reel and all my tackle but waders, etc....is it possible to fish where i dont need to bring my waders?
holes to fish? lets be honest not like im going to have the time to scout out and do lots of leg work or at least a starting point.
has anyone travelled with all of their gear on a plane before? did they give you any trouble or any advice would be greatly appreciated.
anyways im not leaving for about 2 more weeks so i figured i should probably start to get everything ready. thanks in advance
