I may still pick up a few flies here and there but otherwise I think I've scratched everything off of my list!

get one of those lawnmowers that go forward by themselves. you can clear path of snow and pull your sled. cheaper yet, get two huskies, probably 200 a puppy :D

Here it is. Spooled it with 10lb Ande and for backing I used the string used to tie chickens when cooking them in the oven. It gets too expensive using dacron all the time especially for an ice reel so I figured I'd give it a try. This rod feels so nice, ive just been jigging in the air waiting for the weekend to come haha.

I also used a similar setup to that last year with dacron but came across an article that suggested wrapping a piece foam cut the width of the spool, then spooling a small amount of dacron followed by the main line. It is a lot lighter to use the foam to fill out the spool than spooling up all that string or even dacron which makes for a better balanced rig. I have since given it a try with no issues with the line crushing in or slipping and I now have a life time supply of dacron after peeling it off the old set up.

Inspired by Angler Anon. and Noob's success with the jigs I made some time to paint a couple more spoons and spinner blades tonight. My crappy phone cam has the advantage of hiding some of the defects haha (hint: needs to learn to colour within the lines).

Those spoons look awesome! Love the colour pattern. Colour outside the lines is never all that bad!

Thanks Noob! Once i figure out how to downsize the image I'll throw em' back on...i know how frustrating it is to have a pop-up take up like %1000 of the screen lol
