short of breaking in to their parents basement, opening the curtains, and using the sunlight to turn them to stone...

you can either starve them of attention or poison them with kindness but one thing is for sure, trolls feed off negativity.

I'm sure that if the problems gets out of hand the mods will take care of it though, they seem to run a pretty tight ship.

I think somebody was personally attacked and made fun of, but that's probably the worst of it. What's a forum without a few trolls? Lol

Italo for PM!

BWB, I would fish with out my pants if it weren't for those pesky decency laws.  To feel the wind blow across my giblits.  That is the feeling of freedome!

Nice BWB but the actual quotation is:

The men who had hated [the book], and had not particularly loved Helvétius, flocked round him now. Voltaire forgave him all injuries, intentional or unintentional. 'What a fuss about an omelette!' he had exclaimed when he heard of the burning. How abominably unjust to persecute a man for such an airy trifle as that!

lol bless you BWB, you are a defender of liberty!

I have heard nothign but good things about the Calera.  Have myself an AG Revo Winch -- dual brake system with a 5.4:1 ratio for some slow crankin.  Dial that puppy right and you can cast into winds that cannot be pissed in.  Now I hate my other reels. If my other setup gets too depressing, I may give that Calera a try... ;)

I have to confess I am really unfamiliar with Voltaire. I think that my quote was from someone else trying to sum up his beliefs and what they said is: "I disapprove of what you say, but I will defend to the death your right to say it." I changed it around because I don't necessarily disaprove of what he was saying, I just disagree...also, although I'm a proponent of individual liberty, I don't know if I'd actually die so he could go pantless  I think JS Mill (the dude in the pic) was a big fan of that philosophy, and I am a huge fan of his work.

Thanks for the omelette quote, that's great! Reminds me of O.W. Holmes on beer haha.

EDIT: I checked er out on wiki (which I probably should have done before posting lol) and it was a woman named EB Hall, who I had never heard of, who coined the paraphrase in her biography of Voltaire. The quote you mention is indeed exactly what she is referring to, spot on buddy.

I'll have to try an AB winch sometime then! I've had a bad experience with a cheap AG spinning reel but I know I shouldn't let that tarnish my impression of the company as a whole.

I took the calera out in my backyard and I loved it, not a single birds nest in decent wind. When you consider that I'm a pretty big rook with the winch that should tell you it's probably a decent product because it sure had to work overtime to compensate for my lack of skill haha.

You're right BWB it was a work on the life of Voltaire by EB Hall...and you are furthermore right that Mill is sublime on Liberty...indispensable reading to my mind. My own mentor (student of both Riceour and Gadamer) Gary Brent Madison has written what I take to be the definitive work on Liberty.

Refreshing topic here...THANKS
