Today when I got home from work I finally had a box waiting for me.

I like the selection this month. Lots of new stuff to try.

1. Baby Spinnin' Brass - Double Hook spinbait from Brass n' Blades Lures

2. 4" Bottom Walker - Pre-rigged swimbait from River2Sea

3. Sniper Snub - 3" ribber salt worm from Sniper Lures

4. The Flirt 6.95 - Finesse worm from Reaction Innovations

5. 3" Lil Longhorn - Small dropshot bait from Whiskey River Bait Co.

6. Size 2 Dropshot Hooks from VMC & 1/4 oz Dropshot Weights from QuickDrops

I agree, the spinbait looks like a winner. There's also a nice selection of plastics that I am looking forward to trying out as soon as bass season starts up.

Got my new box today.

Was pretty excited to see the River2Sea Dahlberg Diving Frog in there.

I've been wanting to pick one of those up ever since I saw the demo video. Looking forward to trying that out.

I felt the same way as you before I started fishing this shallow weedy lake near my cottage, it's full of little pike.

I kept throwing spoons, inline spinners, floating rapalas and everything would get snagged.. So I tried a couple of spinnerbaits and was amazed at how weedless they are, you can rip them through weeds no problem and most of the time not even have any cabbage left on the lure. you can really get them places where you know the pike/bass are at, where you couldn't get more traditional lures

topwaters I still haven't had much luck with, unless you count a floating rapala worked real slow as a topwater

I find that topwaters are all about time and place. I usually like to fish them in either the early morning or in the evening when the water is super calm. That way they can really be seen and the sound and action of some lures like poppers or, my favourite, the jitterbug can really be seen and heard from down below.

I even like to throw my black jitterbug at night time off the dock when I am up at friends cottage. Pretty consistent bass action all night long.

Top water frogs are great around cover and especially the pads.

That's funny. haha. That's why I held off on buying it. I was waiting for them to throw it in a box.

I don't know if the white is my favourite colour but it will be visible without a doubt.

I haven't been on here a lot lately. Been a busy summer but I have received some great items in the past few boxes.

Haven't really had much luck with and over the baits but the odd plastic and the double hooked spinner bait, unfortunately.

I'm headed up to the French River in 2 weeks and I'm looking forward to testing everything out then.

Keep us posted and i'll do the same.

I also just signed up at tacklegrab.com

Its almost the same concept as MTB but you let them know what type of species you fish and how you like to fish for them.

Then they'll send you baits on what you checked on your profile.

When I was reading into Tackle Grab, they charge shipping to Canada compared to MTB which shipping is free but I found a coupon code for free shipping if you sign up for a year. Monthly is about $15-$12 depending on your subscription.

Send me a pm if you guys plan on signing up, I'll share the coupon code.

I'll also post my tackle grab boxes in here so everything is in one thread.

My buddy is sponsored by Tackle Grab and does blogs for them. I was going to sign up there after my first couple of MTB months. If this next one isn't anything special(which I will post), then I will switch over.
