ive been out on the notty morning and night everyday since Thursday, I live in the beach so ive hit the usual spots, mouth, mcdonalds bridge, end of knox, sand dunes, water treatment plant, [edit - location removed - pwadm] and I havnt even got a bite, anyone else been out on the notty looking for the trout and steelheads? if so any luck? I was waist deep in the water last night when I got a text from my buddy saying his grandfathers neighbour just pulled a 6 pound rainbow so I know they are in there. just wondering if im too early and the run hasn't took off yet? ive been using peach bags and have tried floats and bottom but nothings working, also have used some spoons but sick of loosing them in the sunken logs so I just stuck with the roe bags, anyone got any reccomendations? should I try different coloured bags? also fyi im using just a medium baitcaster 9 pound test, using orange roe bags and switching it up from weights at the bottom of the line and hook about a foot up and vise versa, also tried some floats still nothing though, any input would be greatly apppreiciated!!!!!!!

I hit up west trib friday, sat and sunday...not one bite from a trout. Tons of fat suckers...which leands me to beleive the trout have long gone up and the next run is coming soon. The river was still VERY dark, using beads and roe i could see the bait about 6 inches before it dissapeared. If there were trout, youd have to hit them on the head in order to get one. Hopefuly next weekend will be more fruitful. With a few guys i met, we hit up a small creek next to west trib, water was much clearer, and we atleast saw some nice small tour jumping over rocks....but no bites lol
I tried peach beads , oragne beads, glow green beads , roe, spinners....nothing
