White and chartreuse mesh exclusively here, have pink but barely use it.  As for eggs, whatever I can get for free   I'm with Porkpie, I scent some plastics from time to time with egg goo... Stanky Panky.

I've dabbled with vanilla and anise... ehhhh... didn't notice any differences...

Buying roes from roe farms are great idea except do you know where the roes from?  I know some Mom 'n Pop shops do get the roes whee we get them.  So a reputable shop is the key.

tymbitz - pautzke has two main products:

a cure (cure your own fresh eggs in this)

a nectar (they boil salmon eggs and put the nectar in a jar)

some guys use the nectar to soak their roe bags in, etc.

i've personally never used either - but as CC mentioned, there's a faction of guys out there that swear by it.

Presentation is the name of the game when you're drifing roe. If it's a pond or deep pool that runs really slow scent might help but on moving water...i'd say presentation is key.

Thanks christotheashto. I guess once I get more comfortable with roe I will keep some and make my own pautzke nectar

I need more river experience in order to better understand presentation of my roe. Any tips rich_ace_g?

that is actually funny but knok it off dude....................

fire cure is ok, my bud loves it. i had the best luck curing with atlas shake and cure, and the orange shake and cure has been working the best.

Nothing beats a mixture of fire cure and anise, it's called "hemorrhoid".
