What rod are you putting that on? That's a big reel. I have it on my 7wt spey rod and love it. I have the 5000,, 6000 and 7000...lov' em.

It may appear a bit large on a 10 foot rod but will work.

Great reel for the money. I have mine on my 7wt switch rod and have taken several steelies with it last fall. Enjoy.
