Has any one used and abused the new vmc stright shank heavy duty flipping hooks? I am a gammy man all the way but i just got a few to try.

I dont believe that just cuz i pro put his/her name on a product that makes that product good. Thats why i started reading fourms cuz i rather hear what a bunch of guys or girls say that have used and abused different product than somone that has a chance to make money for nothin. i get what your saying but im looking for the best not what one pro uses.....

amen brotha! those clowns will plug for anybody that pays them enough.  with tackle, lures and other fishing equipment, it comes down to pay our money and take your chances.

 

and take what people on BPS reviews say with a grain of salt.

Yeah some of those bass pro shop reviews are amusing, i'm fairly certain some reviewers dont know how to properly tune their baitcasters as the lowest ratings are usually mentioning "birdsnests" as the major problem with the reel. More of pilot error IMO.
