As far as your location i cant help you there.

As far as bass baits i would recommend fishing weightless plastics. Because you are fishing small water as you said the need for serch baits becomes far and few. We all know that a spinnerbait or crankbait will catch bass and when you have the hammer down covering water there is nothing better, but like i said on small water you can just slow down and get those bass to hit all day every day. Baits like a senco riged wacky or a FAT ika with that slow hypnotizing fall will catch you the most and biggest fish in that area.

Everyone has their go too baits and there are a million choices, you just have to find what works for you. Also because there are so many ways to fish people waste a lot of money buying everything when they always go back to their favs..........

regarding the location...not familiar. If you're sure the water has bass, then...

regarding, pike. if it moves and fits their mouth...it's food. just make sure they can keep up with the speed. if it's spawning it won't be feeding...yet.

mepps spinners and booyah spinnerbaits work great for both species, and rapala minnows/minnow shaped lures in general are great for pike, soft plastics as mentioned are hugely popular

theres a bunch of threads on the subject that are pretty heavily covered..  moreso for pike though

search

PIKE- Best lures for PIKE

and

Good pike hardbaits!

anyway tons of threads, just use search

edit: you probably know this already but both are out of season most places right now

Great tips and ideas above.

If you're looking for something simple that will catch numbers I would go with plain jigs and small to mid-sized plastic trailers (2-4"). Grubs are an all-time favourine of mine. Great colours for grubs (and bass lures in general) are white, chartreuse, brown pumpkin, red, and green. Grab an assortment of 1/8, 1/4, and 3/8 oz jigs (don't worry too much about colour) and have at 'er. If the bass aren't biting a jig and grub combo you can just throw the grub on a plain hook, be a little patient on the drop and retieve, and you'll probably have good luck. I'm also a big fan of spoons and in-line spinners because they are simple to use, allow you to cover a lot of water, and catch a lot of fish. If you're going to use crankbaits I would recommend the stubbier fat bodied cranks just because I like their action more.

As for pike, I find upsizing your spoons and in-line spinners to be effective. Soft plastics are good too but you might go through a lot of them haha. If you are comfortable using topwater baits for bass you can use them for pike too. Not as high a hookup to strike ratio as the other baits I mentioned but great fun to watch. Likewise, if you get used to using weightless tubes for bass, try it for pike. Get some big tubes (at least 4") and twitch them at the surface.

As rich pointed out through, if you're simply looking to get some fish, live worms won't let you down. Double hook them through the middle and then do whatever the hell you want after that because they're bass magnets haha.

Cheers and good luck!

Hey,

Ive fished London for numerous year and you'd be surprise what you could catch in the thames. Woodstock is loaded with pike at the bottom of wildwood dam and in wildwood.

spinnerbait is awesome technic that will get you both. Same with Jerkbaits you can fish them slower for slower days.

Hey,

My favorite numbers lure is a rapala countdown in brown trout for bass.

My favorite size lure is a 4 inch swimbait or a big spinnerbait.

Weightless plastics are also my go to bait for bass. Everything catches on a good day but if the day is slow, I always turn to senco.
