Hello, excuse my dumb question, but my fiance and I are wanting to get our licences renewed for this weekend. Where in Southwestern Ontario (from London) could we try for a catch? We both LOVE fishing but have little to no knowledge w/ regards to whats in season or in the water or good spots. I usually hit up the bridge by Komoka/Kilworth or Fanshawe Conservation.

Like I said sorry for the newb questions but just looking to surprise the fiance w/ some answers and hopefully get some fishing in this weekend. Cheers and Thanks in advance!

With all the rain rivers won't be an option. You might try the Sharon Creek reservoir at Delaware or Lake Wittaker north of Aylmer for panfish.

I have no knowledge of those areas but I have attached a link to the online fishing regulations. Zone 16 is the area you are looking at. Most species are out of season right now. Your best bet are Steelhead, Catfish or Carp with Steelhead being the most popular. On the third page there is a list of rivers that are open year round for trout and salmon. These are your best bet as since they are open year round it is safe to say that they will be holding fish. With all the rain this week it likely wont be fishable as the water will be too high and dirty but if you are close by its always worth a look.

Thanks for the input guys. I think the miss's is just hungry to get in the water since she got a new rod/reel for Christmas. I may just take her and the kids to the new fish shop in London and wait for a week or 2.

That .pdf is / will be useful... Thanks again for that link.
