Hey there!

I ply the sweet waters of the troublesome Thames river, in London ont.  Anybody got any news, reports, of fishing activity in London?  Right now's a good time for crappie, especially in pond mills, or westminister ponds.  Think Fishy!!

Hey Ruff,

A fellow londoner here :)

Crappie is on right now for sure - carp are biting too.  Try the fork of the thames and you're sure to have some luck.  Gotta wait for the water to drop a little of course - its a torrent right now.

Welcome to the forum!

Didn't think anyone will get mad about London.  There's no trout/salmon in there ;)

it seems like most don't care unless trout are involved--I just gave you the heads up--I am surprised there isn't 46 posts running you out of the city

I'm not new - I've been jumped all over in the past for naming a river that was magical apparently.

Again, London is not a prime fishing spot - and I realize the hypocrasy of stating a river name because it doesn't contain trout/salmon, but unfortunatly that seems to be the harsh reality.

If someone complains we're 'ruining' the London fishing holes I would:

a) Call you a moron

b ) Edit the post to remove the offending location (I'd probably be a smart ass about it too)

London considers itself the 'forest city' - albeit its not so true.

Running out pf the city was a figure of speech. If the site regs are only for trout and salmon we are dumber than i thought sorry my bad for having commonn sense that all fish need to be protected. Sorry again

The forum rules do say what I am telling, you just have to read them!

I don't even know how to respond to the other half of the comment it is soo stupid.

Your right. Why do u think people dont talk about spots?? So trout dont get killed off. So it would make sense to be proactive and give the same respect to all species of fish no? Anyway man forget my posts. Your right i am wrong

Thanks for reading the rules. :D Nice and helpful aren't they? I think that's why the admin posted them! Nice guy or girl.

I fish for anything that tugs my line, and as I have mentioned about 1000 times before. That is mostly bass, because most of the info out their is for bass. Like I have mentioned in about 20 posts, is that I am for the sharing of information and having faith in other anglers. You seem have to close minded view to fishing, where it is you against every other angler out there. Hell you probably change a lure when someone walks past you so they don't know what the "hot lure" is that day. Me totally against this, I'll gladly share my lure and hell if I have an extra and their cheap, I might give the sucker one! If he hangs around me and we fish together, I made a friend and he might share some info with me. The close mindedness in trout anglers compared to every other angler specific species is crazy, that's why I don't fish for trout, cause the attitude trout anglers have to a noobie who doesn't have a cp or fly rod if crazy. I have never never never understood not helping a fellow out. I am fed up with people like you who think they can be some vigilante and enforce the rules, when they have no position of power, let the mods take care of it, not a gang of forum bullies. I can't wait for summer when other forums come active cause the attitude towards anything close to a productive conversation here is that it has to be in pms. For example, I cannot understand how people will skip a new members welcome post to reply to a "more popular" one. I personally don't have time to come up with all these long posts, so you'll have to argue with your self...

Care to explain this a little? I try to help out others as much as I can, but one needs to learn before one can teach, and soo far I am only learning about sunfish, bass and a little pike as those anglers are willing to answer questions and come to anothers aid.

Let the mods deal with it, your not in a position of power to enforce the rules or not, and I'm sure anyone who can type a post can read the rules just as good as me.

BUT. Do those who type posts actually read the rules?

If I understand correctly I can discuss fishing Bass in the Grand as much as I please?

When you have a few minutes this summer Noob and can make it down this way, let me know. I can put you on lots of Bass, and fun.

Alfie.

A buddy and I caught more bass 1 aft on the Grand than we ever have anywhere 'up North'.
