that is a very lucky first fish lol. Its not too often you can secure it like that and still have it there when you come back. It was a pretty tired drop back so that certainly helps. It can be tricky landing your first few but after a while it becomes an art. In the future though you should tell your buddy not to hold the fish up against his jacket like that, bad for the fish but also bad for the jacket  . All that slime that was left on his jacket is what they use to protect themselves from infection. Either way great story, not your typical run of the mill day of trout fishing thats for sure!

I know. The fish was too heavy to hold like I did so he needed to hug it to hold it :P It weighed about 10 lbs

go to walmart im sure you can buy these for like 15-20$, the reasoning is 2 fold. 1) you will hold up massive trout like a boss with ease and gain massive street cred on OFF and 2) the girls will be all over you ;)

I am sure if I left my net inna bush it wouldnt go n e where....

well I'm pretty sure most of us here are hunky, 6-packed,  gym-monsters... a 10lb steelhead with an adrenalin rush is not that easy to handle not to mention they're slippery. Although I would agree not to hold them close to your body for the sake of taking a good picture of yourself w/ your catch as you're risking harming the fish. Good stuff though. lesson learned.

Wow.... That one hit home, I haven't been around the fishing scene for too long so I never knew that the Rouge was that good at one point. Sad to see what's happened to it.      .............. :P

great call out there Mr. Noob. Last time I remember us talking we were on the same side, regarding everyone that bashed the kid who posted photos on stringers. I was unaware you turned on me?

G10, let me say sweet again. Sweet! I think our friend here Mr. Noob over looked my optimism and positivity. That is an unreal story, and by no means was I trying to be condescending. I am stoked you have a story that is too good to be true to tell! Which is why I inquired! Stoked on your catches bud

Ohhh man, goodentight, no turnage from me! :D Still remember the pm I sent you about that thread?? I hate it when I misread a post, but I mean that's what you get from no facial expression...

Like they say, assumption makes an ass of you and me... (all me in this case) :D

Nice catch G10 and sorry about that goodentight.
